What does the customer fill in?
Three things: a place, a date, and a line of text. A wedding venue and the day they said yes. The hospital where a daughter was born. The chart redraws while they type, so the poster on screen is already their poster before it reaches the cart, and the whole flow works on a phone.

Is the star map astronomically accurate?
Yes, and that's the whole point. The built-in star engine computes the real sky for the chosen date and place: which stars stood overhead, how bright each one shone, and where the constellations sat that night. Move the date by a single day and the chart visibly shifts. You can write “astronomically accurate” in your product description and mean it.
You design the poster once
Build the layout in the design studio: frame, typography, colors, where the chart sits and where the caption goes. Then mark the sky, the date line and the text as the parts customers change. Every order stays on brand because the template is yours, and every poster comes out different because the sky is theirs. One product listing covers every date and every city.
What can you print the sky on?
Posters and framed prints are the classics, and the same chart drops onto anything with a print surface: canvas, mugs, phone cases, blankets, greeting cards. The chart is drawn fresh at the full size of each product, so a small card and a wide canvas both come out sharp. Start with one framed print and grow the collection from the same template.
How do orders reach your printer?
On their own. Every paid order lands in your dashboard with the file your printer needs already attached, sized for the product that was bought. Connect Printful or Printify and the order routes there without you touching it; print in-house and you download the same file. Nothing to redraw, nothing to chase.

How accurate is the star map, in plain words?
The chart is calculated from real astronomical data for the exact date and place your customer picks. Star positions and brightness come from a professional star catalog, so the poster matches what was actually overhead that night. Shift the date by one day and you'll see the chart move.
Does it work for both hemispheres?
Yes, anywhere on Earth. A customer in Sydney gets the Southern Cross; a customer in Stockholm gets the Big Dipper. The calculation knows which half of the sky is visible from every spot, so southern-hemisphere orders come out exactly as accurate as northern ones.
Can customers pick any date, past or future?
Any date. The night a couple met in 1987, a grandmother's birth in 1948, a due date next spring: the sky is computed the same way forwards and backwards in time. That range is what makes star maps such a strong anniversary and memorial product.
How does a star map actually get printed?
Each print file matches the dimensions of the product that was bought, made when the order comes in. Send it to Printful or Printify when you are ready, or download it and print in-house. Your printer gets a finished file rather than a rough preview.
Do I need a separate star map app or account?
No. The star engine is built into Composerie, so there's no extra subscription and no key to set up. One honest limit: Composerie runs on Shopify stores only, for now.
